A single tooth from Boulogne-sur-Mer, Le Wast, northern France. It was described and figured by Sauvage (1873). The institutional abbreviation BHN stands for Musée d´Histoire Naturelle, Boulogne-sur-Mer, France, where the specimen was originally housed, but the specimen is now housed in the Musée d’histoire naturelle de Lille (Lille Natural History Museum), France (Vincent et al. 2024)
